I originally trained in sonar...add that to being a musician and the studio side of things became a natural path for me.
I have recorded, mixed, produced and performed on numerous commercial records in this time.
In my studio in Southsea I have an easy-going and friendly atmosphere, recording interesting environments in the studio and my house.
I predominantly use Logic Pro as my DAW but sometimes use others.
I have a wide selection of microphones including Beyer dynamic, Neumann.
I use a combination of valve and transistor front-end pre-amps including Joe Meek and TL Audio.
I use UAD Apollo ADA conversion with numerous UAD plugins for post-production mixing and mastering.
I use Event 2020 and Acoustic Research 16's as my go-to monitors.
I have numerous other studio components including bass, guitar amps, and vintage Gretch drums.
I have /or have access to lots of other quality studio equipment and backline, which we can talk about.
I work to European Broadcast Union R128 for all my mixes. You can't appreciate loud if there is no quiet.
